The origin of tshOtsh ®
The name tshOtsh® sounded rapidly as obvious to us. Indeed, on our Kite bars we have this small connecting piece called the donkey dick. In France we call it the "tchoutch". It sounds different however the purpose is the same, connect the rider to his Kite as tshOtsh® connects us to our passion !
To make the technical term tchoutch more, original and memorable, we decided to keep only one vowel "O" and create symmetry with "tsh" on each side.
Etymology of tchoutch
Some years ago Hugo Badaroux, chef redactor of Kiteboarding Magazine, wondered how to call this little dick on the chickenloops. With his pals they started calling it the "titchou," a dialect word meaning "little thing that stands out" (...).
Progressively it became "tchoutch" a new dialect word that literally means "donkey"; animal with which one can feel a certain kinship when we forget to use it ...
From there on, they noticed that the word started to spread among the riders. But tchoutch officially became the French term for donkey dick in 2005 when Hugo decided to use it in the Special Test Edition of Kitesurf Magazine.
